Tell Your Mountain About Your God

Published on 3 February 2025 at 20:17

When life feels like your climbing a mountain and the top is not in sight. Ever feel like that juggling every day life? Then that avalanche comes sweeping towards you. You wake up in the morning and not only are you a mum, a wife, a colleague, a daughter and friend but life's circumstances hit you! Before you know it you've reached burnout forcing you to take time out. This leads to the question, When do you take a moment for you?

TELL

YOUR

MOUNTAIN

ABOUT

YOUR

GOD

Let me introduce myself; I'm a wife, a daughter, a sister, a mother to two teenage girls, an auntie, a grand-daughter, a friend, a colleague, a preceptor, a coach,  a nurse- Sister, CMI accredited Manager in healthcare. I am daughter of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. But how may of us take a moment to reflect on,

Who we are?

What are our visions?

Where are we going?

When do we aim to complete our goals?

How; Plan-Do -Act

Reflect; Gibbs Cycle of Reflection (1988),

Description- What actually happened

Feelings- What emotions came up?

Evaluation- What went well, what didn't go well?

Analysis- What factors contributed? Is it part of a pattern? What was the context?

Conclusion- What would you change? What lessons have you learned?

Action Plan- What steps will you take next? Do other factors need to change too?

When life throws an avalanche at you, amidst it all you may need to take a moment for your own self reflection. I know over the years I sure have had to do this, when your path in life seems steep and and visibility is unclear.

Philippians 4 V 13 "I can do all things through him who give me strength."
